Snow Berry grower visit, Autumn inspiration and Berry Week 17 september 2021

Snow Berry grower

Snow Berries are grown outdoors. Some shrubs are between four and ten years old.

In May they are pollinated by the grower’s own bees. These bees live in a hive in the middle of the field. The bees work until August, then they rest.

The harvest starts in August and can continue until mid-October. After the harvest, the snowberries receive a treatment for hard berries and a good vase life.

In February the shrubs are completely trimmed. In April they will start to grow again.
